but no longer. He takes too long putting out tracks. We've been
hearing about Detox since 2001. I don't care if I ever hear it. The
title now goes to Swizzy. Most of the time I can tell one of his
tracks when I hear it, but he has thrown me off a few times especially
with Dr. Carter(Lil Wayne). I had no clue until I looked at the
credits to know he did the track. Kanye's up there, Dilla(R.I.P.),
Premo, 9th Wonder, Timbaland,etc. You do hear him a lot on his tracks
which is a dead give away, but he was on Fabolous' Return of the
Hustle which was not his track, but Just Blaze's. If someone can give
me a reason why it isn't Swizzy, then you'll get the best answer.

Best vocal microphone?
anyone recommend a good microphone to use, that can "filter" out my
voice from the piano, while maintaining a nice, crisp sound? I play
the piano very loudly, and am male, if that effects the type of
microphone at all. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

How Can I get the best quality home recording?
do it at home because we have relatively good gear and don't have the
cash to go into studio just yet. I've basically got a PC devoted
entirely to recordign with Cubase software. The soundcard device I've
got is a Tascam US-122L. I also have a Digitech mixing desk incase I
need it. The only issue is a good condenser mic (would be used for
vocals/acoustic guitar), but we're just going to rent a good quality
one.
What would be the best way to use all this gear? Should I run directly
out of my guitar pedal into the Tascam, or through an Amp? I have
often found the sound changes quite significantly between the amp and
the computer. As for vocals, would I run the mic directly into the
tascam (it has Phantom Power), or should I run it through the mixing
desk first? Any other help would be appreciated! thanks

more mid and high? Gain? Pick ups? 'cause when I do a pinch harmonic
